Digital Archiving and Preservation

Paradigma: Revista de Investigación Educativa ensures the preservation of and continued access to its content, even if the journal ceases publication. To this end, it uses the following preservation and backup mechanisms:

I. Internal Backup: The journal maintains backup copies on external hard drives, updated quarterly.

II. Institutional Preservation: All published articles are preserved in both physical and digital formats at the Central Library of the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán.

• Printed versions are housed in the Periodicals Library, located on the second floor of the Central Library.
• Digital versions are available in the UPNFM Institutional Repository: https://repositorio.upnfm.edu.hn/home

III. Long-Term Preservation: Paradigma: Revista de Investigación Educativa ensures the long-term preservation of its publications through the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides free digital preservation services for journals that use Open Journal Systems (OJS) and meet the established requirements. This network enables published content to remain stored within a distributed preservation system, regardless of the journal’s operational status. The journal’s publications are also preserved for the long term in CLOCKSS through its participation in the JASPER program, thereby strengthening the preservation, retrieval, and permanent availability of its digital content.
