Abstract

The content of this essay analyzes the way in which the theoretical activity developed in the field of ecological ethics is constituted as a source for the construction of contemporary philosophical discourse. For this purpose, the investigation focuses on two dimensions: in the first, the discussion between the need to build a new ethics or the possibility of applying the existing theories, principles and values in classical ethics in addressing the problems is presented. environmental. In the second dimension, the implications of globalization processes in the constitution of ecological ethics are assessed, as well as in the emergence of new environmental values. As a result of this study, it is concluded that the problems and questions that generate debates and theoretical elaborations in the field of ecological ethics are valuable contributions for the construction of the philosophical discourse in the present century.

Es Licenciado en Filosofía Summa Cum Laude y Máster en Currículum, cuenta con especialidades en Gestión de la Calidad de la Educación Superior, Estrategia y Comunicación Política y ha realizado estudios sobre Economía Social de Mercado. Es docente investigador de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional Francisco Morazán y de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, profesor de posgrado y asesor de tesis en el nivel de Maestría. Ha publicado libros sobre filosofía, educación y pensamiento hondureño.
