The Effect of 7 weeks of jump rope interval training on cardiorespiratory endurance in university students.

This study aims to determine the effect of 7 weeks of jump rope interval training on cardiorespiratory endurance in UPNFM university students. 41 students of both sexes between 19 and 45 years old participated. Two groups were formed: 21 students belonging to the experimental group and 20 students belonging to the control group. The experimental group participated in 21 sessions for 7 weeks under interval training 3 times a week using 5 styles of jump rope, while the control group participated in technical-tactical volleyball training. To evaluate performance, the 20-meter shuttle-run test ”proposed by Legér and Lambert (1982) was used to determine Vo2max. The results in the post test showed significant results in the experimental group in the development of cardiorespiratory endurance (P <0.05). With the above, it is concluded that 7 weeks of interval training with jump rope produces significant results on cardiorespiratory endurance in university students.
